The Contributions Evaluation of Truck Ro-Ro Shipments in the Upper-stream Yangtze River and Its Developing

Abstract:

An introduction will be made to the transportation env ironment characteristics of the upper-stream of Yangtze River (USYR), and the evolution and present status of the roll-on and roll off shipment (Ro-Ro shipment) in Yangtze River. Then five indicators are proposed to evaluate the contributions of Ro-Ro shipments in the upper-stream Yangtze River to regional social-economic developments. Calculating models for saving transport cost and en ergy will be built. Results based on the data in 2005 show that Ro-Ro shipment is a better alternative for truck transport in USYR, and it can make large contributions to both the environmental and social-economic development in the area. Both the governmen tand related enterprises should make more efforts to promote the development of the RRS of the USYR.

Abstract:

Midline2 (MID2) is an ubiquitin-conjugating E2 enzyme linked to tumor progression and a novel interacting partner of breast cancer 1, early-onset (BRCA1). However, the role of MID2 in breast cancer remains unknown. This study investigated the expression, prognostic value, and role of MID2 in breast cancer. The expression of MID2 mRNA and protein was significantly upregulated in breast cancer tissue and established cell lines compared with that in normal breast epithelial cells and paired adjacent non-tumor tissue (P<0.001). Immunohistochemical analysis demonstrated that MID2 was overexpressed in 272 of 284 (95.8%) paraffin-embedded, archived breast cancer tissue. Moreover, MID2 expression increased with advanced clinical stage (P<0.001). High MID2 expression was significantly associated with advanced clinical stages and T, N, and M staging (all P<0.05). Univariate and multivariate analyses indicated that high MID2 expression was an independent prognostic factor for poor overall survival in the entire cohort (93.73 vs. 172.1 months; P<0.001, log-rank test) and in subgroups with stages Tis+ I+ II and III+ IV. Furthermore, 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide colony formation, and anchorage-independent growth ability assays were conducted. Results showed that siRNA silencing of MID2 expression significantly reduced MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cell proliferation in vitro and blocked the growth of MDA-MB-231 cell xenograft tumors in vivo (P<0.05). This study indicated that MID2 may be a novel prognostic marker and interventional target in breast cancer.

Abstract: As a classic deep learning target detection algorithm, Faster R-CNN (region convolutional neural network) has been widely used in high-resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and inverse SAR (ISAR) image detection. However, for most common low-resolution radar , it is difficult to achieve good performance. In this paper, taking PPI images as an example, a method based on the Marine-Faster R-CNN algorithm is proposed in the case of complex background (e.‍g., sea clutter) and target characteristics. The method performs feature extraction and target recognition on PPI images generated by radar echoes with the . First, to improve the accuracy of detecting marine targets and reduce the false alarm rate, Faster R-CNN was optimized as the Marine-Faster R-CNN in five respects: new backbone network, anchor size, dense target detection, data sample balance, and scale normalization. Then, JRC (Japan Radio Co., Ltd.) was used to collect echo data under different conditions to build a marine target dataset. Finally, comparisons with the classic Faster R-CNN method and the constant false alarm rate (CFAR) algorithm proved that the proposed method is more accurate and robust, has stronger generalization ability, and can be applied to the detection of marine targets for . Its performance was tested with datasets from different observation conditions (sea states, radar parameters, and different targets).
